My First Impression

Friday, September 7, 2012 was the 2^nd meeting in writing class to discuss about paragraph. It was so amazing. All of students are enthusiastic to join this course, especially for this topic, including me. Do you know why? Because I get some new materials that I haven’t learnt before.

Actually I felt sleepy when my lecturer explained about paragraph in the first meeting. Because again and again I have to learn about paragraph. Yeah maybe it just like story that’s usually called by narrative, or describing someone/ something that’s usually called descriptive, and many others. I don’t feel upset when our lecturer ask us a to give (I mean to copy, not to make) and identify the paragraph. So, I did it in the morning before coming to the class for the 2^nd meeting. But, it becomes so interesting when we are discussing about paragraph. There are some students give confused paragraphs that are very confusing to identify. Such as a history in the form of narrative and an argumentative in the form of classification paragraph. Finally, there was an interesting discussion either in online class or in offline class.

In this occasion I just say:

وينبغى لطالب العلم أن يستمع العلم والحكمة بالتعظيم والحرمة، وإن سمع مسألة واحدة أو حكمة واحدة ألف مرة. وقيل: من لم يكن تعظيمه بعد ألف مرة كتعظيمه فى أول مرة فليس بأهل العلم

“The students should pay attention to the knowledge respectfully although they have already learnt it a thousand times. And who doesn’t pay attention to the knowledge after learning it for thousand times as their attention to the first meeting, they aren’t a good student.”
